At the End of the Day Ceremony of Remembrance

This past weekend, St. Paul’s observed the anniversary of D-Day with a Remembrance service to honor those who risked their lives to end the atrocities of World War II. A special reception to host the unveiling of a portrait of Bob Dageford was organized by Kathy Leson who had viewed the developing series of portraits in Chicago. The artist sought to capture images of surviving veterans as they are now rather than how they were during the time of war. Attending this remembrance service and special reception were Bob Dageford, his son Tad Dageford, and his daughter Anne Bartolo. Veteran Betty Jean Steinbach was also recognized for her service.
